This is an annual event where we look at some aspect related to the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius Loyola. This year’s theme is:
Time: Saturday 19th May 2007 11am till 4pm
Speaker: Dr Michael Kirwan SJ is lecturer in the systematic theology and pastoral theology departments at Heythrop. He has studied in depth Rene Girard's provocative theory which asserts strong interconnections between religion, culture and violence. He sees this as a highly relevant topic holding his academic interest. We have asked him to show us the echoes of this theory in the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius.
